New to the site?

 

Probably42 is a Think Tank, not aligned to any political party, made up of ordinary people, with varied business, science, technology, arts and education backgrounds across private and public sector.

Probably42 is all about developing ideas, both face-to-face and online.

It is open to anyone who values balanced and considered discussion to participate and contribute.
 
Our aim is to influence decision-makers by contributing pragmatic ideas for improving society.

You can sign up for our free occasional newsletter which will alert you to topics being discussed and some of the key ideas being generated.

You can see certain things without being a member and signing in, but do become a member so you can see all the ideas and be able to comment on them or add your own. It's free and you can delete your membership at any time should you want to.

    We've just introduced two new navigation tab NEWS and VIEWS!

    NEWS carries our latest member newsletter. If you are new to the site this will give you a good idea of what's going on currently and what you can expect if you become a member, or sign up to our newsletter list. 

    VIEWS carries our latest short article. At the moment it's one on Artificial Intelligence and the implications for our Future Society.

    We hope you'll find these new features of interest.  

  • Measuring Individual and National Wellbeing

    In our 'Considered Document' on Measuring Individual and National Wellbeing  we propose that there should be a small number of top-level measures which receive national prominence alongside GDP on an annual basis. We put forward 7 composite measures of individual Wellbeing ad 7 composite measures of National Wellbeing.
