Thanks Geoff, meant to say that I hadn't thought about the 'What' aspect. I suspect there is a lot of misuse of the term AI among the media and I don't believe the Amazon example of 'Customers who bought this........' is actually AI. rather than address... more

Still worth reading this but there is now a fuller document prepared as a submission to the House of Lords Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence. Just scan the documents in the Proposals section to view it.
