We tend to think that the long arm (or ARM) of the law only extends in IT terms to the odd workstation and databases of baddies - but there's more - go to the AJL and you'll find out a lot more. The lady that founded it [Joy Buolamwini AKA 'The Poet of Code'] has a mathematical brain the size of a small planet (she was once a Wall Street quant and went to MIT where she studied bias - oh and she's talked at TED) and knows what bias can do when it's not used properly.
